Welcome to JohnHQLD.com! Thank you so much for checking it out. I’m John, and this is my site. Mainly I will be talking about things that catch my interest, primarily in gaming but sometimes in other fields as well. If there is anything you would like to discuss or would like my thoughts on, leave me a note on the Facebook page or register here to add comments!
Thanks again, and I hope you enjoy the site.
So something a little different again today! One thing is the same though – NO SPOILERS! Last night I finally got to sit down and watch Batman Ninja. Wow. This is a DC animated film that brings together a lot of anime legends, and I don’t really know why I expected the movie I did. But it is a beautiful film and a lot of fun to watch.
Planescape: Torment was an RPG that blew my mind when I was growing up. It was the first game I ever played where the proper solution to a puzzle was to die! Piecing together the past of the Nameless One was a great adventure, and now it’s in my pocket.
So in the delayed sixth episode of JohnHQLD Blatherings, I talk about the first try of a new Legacy of Dragonholt campaign, some Mascarade and Guillotine party shenanigans, and a fun dexterity game called Wonky. There is also some news on the new format coming up in the next couple of episodes, so stay tuned for that!
I am with Guillermo del Toro – Rob Pearlman IS Hellboy. That said, I can’t wait for the new Hellboy movie to come out – different doesn’t mean bad after all! But in the meantime, Mantic Games has released a gorgeous looking board game on Kickstarter to help tide over the Hellboy cravings!
