It’s been almost a year since the last update. I am very aware of this, but I just haven’t been able to come back any sooner.
Honestly, I am not ready to come back just yet. That said – I don’t want to keep things up in the air either.
So today is a bit of an update on what has been happening, and what I want to do in the future.
What has been keeping me busy?
Short version – life. Work has been hectic (nothing unusual there), and quite a few life changes meant I had even less downtime than normal.
n the personal side – we started building a house! Apart from stress on the costs of building a house, there was a lot of planning and organisation going happening as well.
Building a house at the tipping point of a recession with builders closing what felt like every week while trying to keep everything else together – talk about playing on hard mode!
The good news is the planning paid off, and even with a few left field hurdles thrown in everything is done and we are 95% settled in the new place.
So are you doing PAX AUS this year?
Unfortunately no.
A big part of the new house planning was contingency planning. If things dragged out, we still would have been dealing with that come PAX time.
So 2024will the first in person PAX AUS I have missed at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.
The PAX AUS XP group is still open, so I hope you can make use of it. I would love to see this years PAX XP pic!
So what’s the plan for the rest of 2024?
With any luck, relaxing and putting things in place for 2025.
We are going on a Disney Cruise again in October, and I am really looking forward to that. I will be sure to point out all of the amazing things I missed the first time on the Wonder!
Other than that, I am really looking forward to a road trip to catch up with Alpal in person. Get some Jessie pets in, relax and chat, and maybe play a board game or three. Sounds like a great time!
So work, resting up, and trying to start looking after myself. Good plans to finish a year on.
You said putting things in place?
I have some more specific site things to talk about, and in order to start them in 2025 I need to start on some of them soon.
I will talk more about those plans in the next couple of posts over the next couple of week.
The Facebook page will be deleted in November 2024. I want to leave it open during PAX AUS, then off it goes.
In the following posts, you will have new links to follow any projects that interest you. This will be the main focus of the posts over the next couple of months, so stay tuned for those.
Until then,
