So there is never a good time for bad news, and waking up to news of the passing of Stan Lee definitely qualifies.
After being rushed to hospital early Monday morning US time, it has been confirmed that the legendary creator has indeed died.
There will never be another Stan Lee. For decades he provided both young and old with adventure, escape, comfort, confidence, inspiration, strength, friendship and joy. He exuded love and kindness and will leave an indelible mark on so, so, so many lives. Excelsior!!— Chris Evans (@ChrisEvans) November 12, 2018
His contribution to Pop Culture was revolutionary & cannot be overstated. He was everything you hoped he would be & MORE. I loved this man & will never stop missing him. They say you should never meet a childhood idol. They are wrong. #RIPStanTheMan pic.twitter.com/6OKH07ahJg— Mark Hamill (@HamillHimself) November 12, 2018
There is no understating the impact the Stan Lee had on the world. He will be most remembered for his work at Marvel Comics, creating some of today’s most popular franchises thanks to resurgence with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
But Stan Lee was active with many parts of the community, always trying to help in as many ways as he could, with the last major foundation being the Stan Lee Foundation seeking to promote literacy and the arts.
One of the best ways I can think to remember him is actually watching him enjoy his cameos, sharing something he loved.
Thank you for everything Stan, you will be missed.
