Welcome to JohnHQLD.com! Thank you so much for checking it out. I’m John, and this is my site. Mainly I will be talking about things that catch my interest, primarily in gaming but sometimes in other fields as well. Thanks again, and I hope you enjoy the site.
So Video Games has E3, but Board Games has Origins! Well, and Essen, but that’s later in the year, so I am excited now!
So I know that E3 is now ‘properly’ underway. Many lucky, lucky people are now getting hands-on time with many of the games we have seen trailer after trailer for over the last few days. But with my game of the conference (yeah spoiler) it looks like some Australian journalists are counting themselves very lucky with their time on Cyberpunk 2077 for very different reasons.
The E3 timed Nintendo Direct was as amazing as we all expected. There were a couple of new standouts for me, the first of which being Fire Emblem: Three Houses for the Switch. Lucky it’s next year, I already have one hell of a queue!
Two gorgeous games that are as opposite as they can be. Both Ghost of Tsushima and Déraciné have made my must-play list, and not just because they are both gorgeous. Honestly, there was so much I was already looking forward to the Sony presentation was fairly flat for me this year, but I felt that there should be a Sony Honorable Mentions as these games should not be looked over lightly.
The Last of Us is an amazing game. If there was ever an example of games as art, The Last of Us has to be on the shortlist. At the moment it’s still hype building, but I can’t wait to learn what has happened to Joel and Ellie.
